Tracking and Recruitment of Underrepresented Groups
Özyeğin University is committed to ensuring equitable access to higher education and fostering a diverse and inclusive community. The university actively tracks applications, admissions, and recruitment to support the participation of underrepresented groups, including low-income students, women, students with disabilities, refugees, international students, and first-generation university applicants.
The Planning and Analysis Office regularly collects and reviews data on student demographics, scholarships, and admissions to identify access gaps and promote evidence-based decision-making. These findings are shared with the University Management and the Gender Equality Office to inform inclusive strategies for recruitment, financial aid, and student support.
Aligned with the Gender Equality Plan (GEP) 2024–2028, Özyeğin University also takes proactive steps to improve representation among academic and administrative staff. The Human Resources Directorate, in collaboration with the Gender Equality Office and the Sustainability Platform, implements gender-sensitive hiring and development practices and monitors progress through annual data reviews.
Progress and outcomes are publicly shared through the ÖzÜ Gender Equality Reports (GER) and related institutional publications, reinforcing transparency and accountability. Through these coordinated efforts, Özyeğin University continues to build a campus culture that values diversity, equity, and opportunity for all.
