At the special event for World Environment Day, titled 'Can a University Student Prevent the Extinction of an Heirloom Seed Species?', we heard the story of Fırat Karakurt, a second-year Computer Engineering student at our university, and his quest for heirloom seeds specific to himself and his region. Throughout this narrative, we explored various dimensions of his journey, from why he embarked on the pursuit of seeds to his efforts in waste management, the challenges he faced, and his future plans related to this topic.
