Özyeğin University First Mesopotamia Gastronomy Summit

The First Mesopotamia Gastronomy Summit, organized by the organizers of Özyeğin University, will be held in Diyarbakır from November 9–11, 2023. The Gastronomy Summit, organized in collaboration with the Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Karacadağ Development Agency, and Yerküre Local Initiatives Cooperative, will bring together academics, chefs, gastronomy writers, and civil society organization leaders.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özge Samancı, the Head of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at Özyeğin University Faculty of Applied Sciences, will be a member of the Organization and Advisory Board of the Mesopotamian Gastronomy Summit. Murat Bayramoğlu from the Sustainability Platform will be a member of the Execution Committee.


During the summit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özge Samancı will present "Good Practices for the Gastro Innovation Center", Dr. Candan Türkkan, our university faculty member and the director of the LOCAL DEVELOPMENT AND AGRO-FOOD LAB  -LOAFLAB-, will present "An Introduction to the Analysis of Diyarbakır's Food Regime", and Murat Bayramoğlu will present "Diyarbakır's Collective Strategy for Geographically Indicated Products".
