Özyegin University provides various outreach, general education and capacity building to policy- and lawmakers. For instance, ÖzU Technology Transfer Office provides training during the foundation process of other Technology Transfer Offices. Moreover, Lifelong Learning Center of ÖzU together with HMO Foundation provides upskilling and capacity building for rural development to the municipalities in south eastern part of Turkey.  In addition, Center for Energy, Environment and Economy has organized workshops with Cekmekoy Municipality. In order to make alterations in planning issues for more energy efficient housing. CEEE has developed a catalogue for end-users of Cekmekoy Municipality for maintenance and operation of buildings. Faculty of Law organizes various certificate programs for public law  officials such as Mediation Education in Legal Disputes Certificate Program and Mediation  Education in Criminal Procedure Disputes Certificate Program.
