The OzU LGBTIQ+ time capsule letters were a fantastic event aimed at creating a collective consciousness and welcoming new friends to the school. By reflecting on the concept of memory firsthand and immortalizing it through writing, we created a sense of community and a more intimate approach to the school. The process of writing the letters involved reviewing the experiences of current club members, using written language effectively, demonstrating literary skills, and inspiring others. Additionally, throughout the event, members engaged in active communication and socialization. For the friends with whom we will share these letters, the workshop provided gains such as empathy, preparation for university life, and a sense of acceptance.
