OzU, Ozyegin Foundation, Mother Child Education Foundation and Fiba Social Investments, which are within the Ozyegin ecosystem, have shown strong reflexes to heal the wounds of the victims, and have carried out long-term, inclusive studies to normalise life after disasters. After the Van earthquake in 2011 and Elazığ earthquakes in 2020, and finally after the fire disaster in Marmaris and Manavgat in 2021, observations were made in the field, meetings were organized with the authorities and local people, and material support was provided for the continuation of agricultural production. On the other hand, students from these regions participated in the high school summer schools and local and rural development certificate programs run by OzU with scholarships. A coordination team was formed to create permanent and functional mechanisms to deal with human-made disasters in a more organized manner. The ultimate goal of the team is to organize, strengthen and mobilize the institutional capacities, human resource competencies and external influence of Fiba Companies, OzU, Ozyegin Foundation and AÇEV for pre-disaster and post-disaster responses.
